Well girls playing against our old enemy this week was going to be no easy task but you all played really well some of the passing and movement was great and if you take out the three own goals the result would have been a good one keep up the good work and the rewards will come once again girls well done....

MIDDLETON ATHLETIC 0 BURY 1

This was a new start for Middleton Athletic after recent poor performances. Things had to change and they sure did in a close game both teams played some attractive football. With Middleton having more attempts at goal and only the keeper saved bury against the run of play bury scored a lucky goal in the past Middleton would have given up but not any more middleton pilled on the pressure at every chance but still found Bury keeper in good form .
In the closing stages middleton pushed forward and were unlucky not to score when a great shot from shelby came back out of the post well done everybody keep the same attitude and your win will not be far away .

Middleton Athletic FC Vs Hayside

Middleton vs Hayside we didn’t no what to expect.
With middleton having 9 players it was a hard decision at what the starting team would be. From the off Middleton played well doing some good passing and movement. With a lack in concentration Hayside got a early goal. Middleton kept their heads up and carried on playing like a team.

In the second half Middleton seemed to lose their concentration and let Hayside play, which saw Middleton goals down. After changing the team Middleton’s energy built back up and they shown some good team play. Each week girls you all seem to be improving and playing better and better that is all we can ask for. Keep it up.

Middleton Athleic Vs Failsworth Girls

Well second week as being under 14's and again a full team + subs!
From the off Middleton piled on pressure and played some good football. With some excellent movement from midfield and are strikers middleton won themselves a corner. Pheobe stepped up and crossed the corner in, Failsworth's keeper couldn't keep hold of the ball and the ball rolled in. Middleton carried on playing like a team and kept pushing forward. Middleton lost concentration and gave away a free kick Middleton blocked the kick but didn't close the second shot down. 1-1

Second half Middleton kept their heads up and carried on playing football like we no they can. Failsworth found the back of the net early in the second half but this didn't stop Middleton. The girl played their hearts out and we couldn't asked for anything else. Keep going girls and the win will come.

Middleton Athletic FC Vs Duckinfield Girls

Well this was are new start as under 14's now playing at a different place. We all wondered what it would be like. With middleton having 9 players this was a good start as we had decisions to make about the team.
From the off Middleton put pressure on Duckinfield and started of well. With us pressing forward, Duckinfield scored a goal. Middleton kept theirs head up and carried on playing well. Duckinfield pressured Middleton and got free kick, this lead to another goal.

Second half middleton came out playing like the team we all know passing the ball well and moving well. Middleton had a few chances with lauren and Phebie, but the keeper pulled off good saves. Their efforts came off when megan piled on the pressure and scored a well taken goal. Don't let the score line put you off, you all played well and put in 100% effort, we are proud of you all! Keep it up girls!
